About Order of the Fellowship

What is the Order of the Fellowship?

– An Invitation to Come Together as a Family of Believers
– An Invitation to Support Each Other in our Spiritual Growth
– An Invitation to be Come Together Around the Story of God

A common assumption in evangelical organizations is that all team members have a private individual piety that encourages continued spiritual growth. Thus, we often end up not addressing spiritual growth and disciplined practices because everyone is supposedly doing that on their own. Instead, we focus on tasks, outcomes, effectiveness, and often leave people isolated; not knowing what to do in regard to spiritual disciplines.

What if there was a place where we created shared spiritual practices that all believers could participate in together? Not just on a missions field, but in your office, in your home, with family, friends, and with brothers and sisters across the globe. What if we shared the Word of God together every day? If we all practice a focused fasting time on the same day together– in every time zone?

Building a community whose goal is to grow deeper in their spiritual formation together is what drove us to create the Order of the Fellowship. This is a voluntary order of spiritual practices that will help shape spiritual growth and development of those who are transforming the world through the love of Jesus.

Currently what you will find each week is an invitation to read scripture together each day; to pray the same prayer together each day, to engage in a different prayer practice each week, and to participate in a form of fasting each Friday. Below is an introduction to the Order and what is included in each edition. We pray that you find the guided readings, prayers, and practices a useful tool for shared spiritual development.

Peace of Christ,
